Education, Experience & Monastic Background

Education & Academic Experience

  • Early Education: Graduated from National Taiwan Normal University Senior High School, National Kaohsiung Normal University, and earned a Master’s degree from the Institute of Chemistry, National Taiwan University.

  • Teaching Career: Served as a Teaching Assistant at National Kaohsiung Normal University and Chung Cheng Institute of Technology, and as a Lecturer and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Lee-Ming Institute of Technology.

Buddhist Path & Ordination

  • Connection to Buddhism: Began studying under Venerable Master Thich Tinh Hanh   in 1991, actively serving as a volunteer at the Linh-Son Lecture Hall and supporting large-scale Dharma ceremonies.

  • Formal Ordination: Officially ordained as a monastic in 2001, subsequently serving as an attendant to Venerable Master Thich Tinh Hanh  for many years. In 2010, spent two years at Yuantong Temple in Puli for further study and cultivation.

Dharma Propagation & Teaching

  • Teaching Experience: Taught Vinaya (Monastic Rules) courses at institutions including the “Linh-Son Taipei Lecture Hall” and the “Buddha Educational Foundation.”

  • Courses Taught: Taught texts such as the Upāsaka Precepts Sutra (Upāsaka-sīla Sūtra), the Brahma Net Sutra Bodhisattva Precepts, and the Shimen Guijing Yi (Rites of Paying Homage in the Sakya Tradition).

  • Leadership Roles: Served as the Class Advisor for the 3rd, 5th, and 7th terms of the “Lay Vinaya Study Class.”
